We recently ran a super-fun live music crawl where we took guests on a tour of some of the best live music venues Austin has to offer. We started with outdoor eats and drinks at one the East Side’s awesome food trailer parks, before heading to three iconic venues for live performances after the summer sun had gone down.
First up was the White Horse on Comal Street, in our opinion as good a honky tonk place as you can find anywhere in the city. You can check out their upcoming acts at: http://www.thewhitehorseaustin.com/calendar/
Next was the classic Saxon Pub where we saw the fantastic David Grissom, one of our all-time favorite guitarists who our entire group loved. David’s a busy guy and you can find out his schedule at: http://www.davidgrissom.com/gig/
We ended the night at Threadgill’s South, where we were entertained by the amazing White Ghost Shivers, an Austin band that somehow mixes up hillbilly, ragtime, jazz and a bunch more stuff and keeps everything catchy and fun.
We select our Live Music Crawl gigs to provide a range of performances to suit all tastes, and we switch things up regularly so there’s always something cool to see. We have some great emerging acts and some Austin classics in the pipeline for fall and winter. If you want to explore Austin’s live music scene, come crawl with us!
