Austin’s favorite “bucket list tour” gives you a city overview in just 2 hours. Major landmarks, lesser-known gems that only a local would know about, real neighborhoods, and of course, the food trucks! This is definitely not a typical “van tour.” We drive in Mercedes vans, but you get out at many stops. Along the way, we’ll chat about art, music, culture, food, history, parks, famous people, and much more! We’ll also discover secret spots, hear funny stories, and decipher local legends. Make new memories and laugh a ton as we show you how we “Keep Austin Weird.” Finally, experience Austin, don’t just see it through a window!
Daily at 10:30 am and 1:30 pm

So let me begin by saying that I have lived in Austin for 17+ years and have been only on one of these type of tours, and I know a little about Austin as well. My brother and friend came for a visit, and we decided to take the Real Austin tour from this company. They did NOT disappoint. They hit a variety of locations, murals, neighborhoods, and had plenty of knowledge.
My husband and I were in Austin from Virginia for our son’s UT MBA graduation. The 2 hour “Real Austin Tour” was the perfect overview. Our tour guide, Steven, was both informative and entertaining. We rode in a comfortable Mercedes van and thoughtfully were offered complimentary bottles of water. At several stops our group hopped out to tour The State Capitol, Graffiti Park, and for a photo opp at a mural. Highly recommend for anyone wanting fun facts on Austin’s history and culture.
Discover the best of the city in just two hours! This fast-paced “bucket list” tour gives visitors a great snapshot of Austin: get dizzy gazing upward at the Capitol’s dome, indulge in a decadent treat from a local Austin eatery, explore cool outdoor art, snap photos at city landmarks, and check out funky neighborhoods only a local would know about. This detour is jam-packed with facts, history, and trivia on everything from Whole Foods to the UT campus, and everyone from Michael Dell to Willie Nelson. By the time you’re done with this tour, you’ll be able to say you “get” Austin – the history, people, music, culture, food and what keeps it “weird.” If you’re looking for a snappy quick overview of the city, or just need to prove to the social media universe you were in Austin this is the detour for you!
