“Willkommen, y’all.”
If you want to get away from the big city and discover small-town Texas this is the detour for you! We’ll take a relaxing 90-minute drive west of Austin, weaving our way through a string of small towns en route to Fredericksburg, a quaint city with a rich German heritage and the birthplace of World War II legend Admiral Chester Nimitz. We’ll lunch at a traditional restaurant (think bratwurst, sauerkraut and mustard) and spend the afternoon exploring shops, museums, breweries and galleries. Our Fredericksburg Road Trip provides a great window into Texas’ European history and an introduction to friendly Frederickburgers all waiting to wish a warm “Willkommen, y’all.”
